As part of the University of Maysan’s efforts to develop its academic programs and expand educational opportunities for students, the Faculty of Engineering announced the introduction of evening studies in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year.
The introduction of evening studies in the department comes in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to meet students’ educational needs and provide additional study pathways in modern engineering disciplines, particularly fields that integrate engineering sciences with medical applications and biotechnology.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering represents an important and rapidly developing engineering discipline that contributes to preparing specialized scientific and engineering personnel capable of working with medical devices, systems, and modern technologies used in healthcare institutions. It also strengthens integration between the engineering and medical sectors and supports the development of innovative healthcare technologies.
The Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering confirmed that introducing evening studies is part of the Faculty’s plans to expand access to engineering education, meet the growing demand for modern specializations, and provide broader educational opportunities for students while maintaining approved academic standards and complying with the relevant regulations and instructions.
Admission to the evening studies program in the Department of Biomedical Engineering is scheduled to begin with the 2026/2027 academic year, in accordance with the controls and instructions approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
