Based on ministerial directives for conducting joint examinations between corresponding departments in public universities and private colleges, and within the framework of implementing the twinning agreement between the College of Engineering at the University of Maysan and the College of Amara, the joint examination for the Petroleum Engineering Departments of both institutions has been successfully completed.
The joint exam covered academic levels beyond the first year—specifically the second, third, and fourth years. It was administered under the direct supervision of a follow-up committee from the College of Engineering at the University of Maysan, which included assistant deans, department heads, and several faculty members. The exam was conducted simultaneously for students from both departments, following a unified examination protocol.
At the conclusion of the exams, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, commended the efforts of Assistant Professor Jabbar Rahim Rashid, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department at the University of Maysan, as well as the members of the College of Engineering Council, faculty, and staff of the Petroleum Engineering Department, for their role in ensuring the smooth and successful administration of the joint examination. He also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and support provided by the Deanship and staff of the University College of Architecture, acknowledging their contribution to the success of this academic initiative.
