Official of the Student Activities Division at the Faculty of Engineering heads the delegation of the University of Maysan to the Al-Nour International Qur’anic Competition

Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Saadoun Yassin, Head of the Student Activities Division at the College of Engineering, led the student delegation representing the University of Maysan in Al-Nour International Qur’anic Competition, a prestigious Qur’anic event that brings together Iraqi and Arab universities. The competition is being held at Al-Ameed University in Karbala governorate for the period October 12–16, 2025.

The participating delegation included:

  1. Mustafa Saadoun Yassin – Head of the Student Activities Division, College of Engineering.
  2. Ahmed Radhi Salem – Student, College of Engineering, University of Maysan.
  3. Sajjad Ali Jassim – Student, College of Education, University of Maysan.

The university’s participation reflects its strong commitment to fostering the talents of its students across scientific, religious, and cultural domains, and to promoting the spirit of positive competition among students in memorizing and reciting the Holy Qur’an.

For his part, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, expressed his appreciation for this distinguished participation, affirming the faculty’s continuous support for all initiatives and activities that enhance students’ intellectual, cultural, and spiritual development.
