Civil Engineering Department Follows Up on Summer Training Implementation for Students in Maysan Governorate Projects

As part of the ongoing efforts to monitor summer training programs, the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Mortada Abbas Abdel Ali, accompanied by Assistant Professor Haider Abdel Rady, conducted a field visit to third-stage students from the Civil Engineering Department participating in the summer training program at several projects within Maysan Governorate, supervised by the Maysan Governorate Projects Department.

The visit aimed to assess how effectively students are benefiting from practical experiences in real-world work environments, while also providing them with both academic and moral support. Additionally, it sought to strengthen the relationship between the faculty of engineering and the professional engineering sector, in a manner that contributes to developing students’ skills and enhancing their readiness for the labor market.

The students expressed appreciation for the initiative, which they viewed as a reflection of the department’s commitment to experiential learning. The visiting team emphasized the importance of leveraging this hands-on training to build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills that will help prepare capable engineers for the future. They also commended the outstanding cooperation shown by the Resident Engineer Department, represented by all colleagues, for their dedication to maximizing student benefit and ensuring the success of the training program.
