Under the patronage of the President of Maysan University, Professor Adel Manea Dakhil, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering organized a specialized training workshop on the fundamentals of measuring electrical signals using an oscilloscope, with the participation of an elite group of teaching staff from the department.
The workshop was presented by Lecturer Professor Rabia Hadi Hassan and Assistant Lecturer Muhammad Hassouni Jassim, both lecturers in the Department of Electrical Engineering. It aimed to introduce participants to the oscilloscope device and its significance in analyzing and measuring electrical signals within engineering and laboratory applications.
The workshop included a detailed explanation of the oscilloscope components and its operational principles, in addition to practical training on measuring key electrical parameters such as voltage, time, and frequency, and accurately interpreting signal waveforms.
Furthermore, the workshop focused on enhancing participants’ practical competencies through direct interaction with the device, and developing their ability to analyze and interpret different types of electrical signals with precision and efficiency.
