The Chancellor of Maysan University calls for an organized campaign to provide humanitarian assistance and support to the neighboring people of Lebanon

The Chancellor of Maysan University, Professor Dr. Adel Man’e Al-Kaabi, has called on all faculty members at the university, including lecturers and staff, to organize a humanitarian campaign. This initiative is in response to the statement from the Higher Religious Authority and the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which called for an end to aggression and support for Lebanon and its people in their courageous stand against the recent Z_ionist assault that resulted in the deaths of hundreds and injuries to thousands of innocent people.

Professor Al-Kaabi stated, “In solidarity with the people of Lebanon, the university administration is committed to providing immediate support and humanitarian aid to the Lebanese people to alleviate the suffering caused by the recent violent actions. These actions have led to many casualties, including martyrs, victims, and injured civilians. We are determined to provide urgent humanitarian assistance”.

The Chancellor further added that the campaign would begin tomorrow,25th September 2024, in cooperation and coordination with the faculties and departments of the university’s administration. He noted that the campaign would include donations as well as logistical, food, medical, and other humanitarian assistance, with the goal of saving lives, assisting victims and their families, and making every effort to bolster Lebanon’s resilience in the face of these attacks.
