Engineering Advisory Office at Maysan University’s Faculty of Engineering Awarded Environmental Accreditation Certificate by Ministry of Environment

At the Faculty of Engineering, Maysan University, we are pleased to announce that the College’s Engineering Advisory Office has obtained an Environmental Accreditation Certificate from the Ministry of Environment. This significant achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and fostering sustainable development practices across various sectors.

This milestone follows the dedicated efforts of Dr. Riad Taama Hazim, Director of the Advisory Office, whose leadership played a crucial role in the process. The certification will facilitate the implementation of effective environmental protection methodologies, ensuring full compliance with the necessary requirements for preparing comprehensive environmental impact reports. These reports are vital for assessing the environmental implications of a wide range of projects, including infrastructure, water and sanitation systems, oil and gas industries, electricity plants, health facilities, agriculture, livestock, and other investment initiatives. Such evaluations are essential, particularly in the early planning stages, to ensure that projects are environmentally sustainable and aligned with responsible development goals.

The recognition highlights the Office’s dedication to offering high-quality advisory services that aim to strike a balance between economic progress and environmental conservation. By supporting sustainable development strategies, the Office contributes significantly to the advancement of various sectors, always with an emphasis on environmental responsibility.

Professor Dr. Abbas Oda Dawood, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, commended the management of the Advisory Office for their hard work and congratulated them on this prestigious accomplishment. He reaffirmed the Faculty’s commitment to achieving further successes, continuing to serve both society and the environment through impactful and sustainable practices.\
