Under the patronage of the Dean of the faculty of engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, the faculty of engineering – Student Activities Division organized a volunteer campaign in which a number of professors and faculty employees participated, distributing water, refreshments, and juices to service processions along the route of visitors walking toward Holy Karbala to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
In a statement, the Brigadier General emphasized that this initiative comes in glorification of God’s rituals, in loyalty to the path of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), which embodies the values of justice and dignity, and as a renewal of the covenant with the owner of the Holy Dome through service and dedication to the banner of reform raised by the Master of Martyrs in the immortal Karbala incident.
Participants in the campaign expressed their pride in contributing to this humanitarian event, affirming that serving visitors is a great honor. They noted that they draw inspiration from the revolution of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) for values of giving and sacrifice, feeling the significance of this occasion of faith that unites hearts in love for the family of the Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and his family).
This campaign reflects the spirit of social solidarity and promotes the values of giving and volunteerism. It also expresses the depth of love and loyalty to the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him), presenting an honorable image of the unity of society members and their commitment to reviving eternal religious occasions with a spirit of responsibility and belonging.
