Under the patronage of Professor Adel Man’e Dakhil, President of Maysan University, the Student Activities Department at the University Presidency organized the Qur’anic Light Competition for male and female students, held in the conference hall of the Faculty of Political Science with the participation of representatives from all university’s faculties.
The Student Activities Division at the College of Engineering participated actively and effectively in this competition, where the college’s students achieved remarkable results and won leading positions at the university level. Zainab Jasib Aras, from the Department of Chemical Engineering, secured first place in the female students’ category, while Ahmed Rady, from the Department of Civil Engineering, earned second place in the male students’ category.
The event was attended by a number of academic figures, including the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, who honored the winning students in recognition of their efforts and distinguished Qur’anic recitation skills.
On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, extended his warmest congratulations to the winning students, expressing his pride in their achievement, which reflects the high level of excellence and cultural balance that characterizes the college’s students in various scientific, cultural, and religious fields. He also reaffirmed the continuous support of the college’s deanship for all student activities that help build an aware and balanced university personality, nurturing a spirit of healthy competition, creativity, and moral commitment among students.
It is worth mentioning that the Faculty of Engineering pays special attention to extracurricular activities that promote national identity and human values, providing all necessary support to its students in various university-level participations.
