Under the patronage of the President of Maysan University, Professor Adel Manea Dakhil, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Petroleum Training Institute in Maysan, organized a specialized in-person training workshop entitled “Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) – Occupational Safety” on Tuesday, 4/7/2026, in the Deanship building of the Faculty of Engineering.
The workshop was delivered by Engineer Ali Salem Abdel Reda and Engineer Milad Abdel Ali, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, his assistants, a number of faculty members, as well as students and graduates of the college.
The workshop addressed a range of essential topics in the field of occupational safety, including an introduction to the principles of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), identification of hazards in engineering work environments, prevention and protection mechanisms, and an overview of the standards adopted in this field.
The workshop aimed to enhance awareness among students and graduates regarding the importance of occupational safety procedures within professional environments, and to equip them with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to effectively handle field challenges in alignment with labor market demands.
