Under the patronage of the President of Maysan University, Professor Adel Manea Dakhil, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the Faculty of Engineering, in cooperation with the Petroleum Training Institute / Maysan, organized a specialized training workshop in the field of occupational safety targeting fourth-year students (Division B) in the Department of Civil Engineering, as part of a series of scientific activities aimed at developing students’ practical skills. The workshop was held in the presence of a number of faculty members and students from the department.
The workshop was delivered by Engineer Najm Abdel Rady and Engineer Safaa Abdel Ali Mahdi, and addressed key topics in occupational health and safety (HSE), including identifying workplace hazards, methods of prevention, and the standards and procedures required to ensure a safe working environment.
The workshop aimed to enhance the culture of occupational safety among Civil Engineering students and strengthen their ability to effectively deal with field challenges, thereby contributing to better preparing them for the labor market.
