The Faculty of Engineering – University of Maysan received the Monitoring Camera System Evaluation Committee responsible for assessing surveillance systems at the University Presidency and its faculties. The visit was part of the committee’s field inspections to evaluate the efficiency of surveillance systems and verify their compliance with approved requirements and regulations.
During its visit, the committee conducted a field tour to inspect the Faculty’s surveillance camera system, review its management and monitoring procedures, and verify the system’s operational efficiency and coverage of the Faculty’s facilities.
The committee praised the organization and performance of the Camera Unit at the Faculty of Engineering, commending the efforts made to manage and monitor the system and maintain its readiness. It confirmed that no observations or remarks were recorded regarding the Faculty’s surveillance camera system, reflecting the level of attention and follow-up given to security and safety requirements.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, praised the efforts of the Security Permits and Follow-up Division and the Camera Unit, commending their dedication and continuous monitoring of the system. He emphasized the importance of surveillance systems in maintaining a safe university environment and protecting the safety of students, personnel, and the Faculty’s property.
The team responsible for supervising and monitoring the Faculty’s camera system included:
- Chief Engineer Ghassan Faleh Hassan – Head of the Security Permits and Follow-up Division at the Faculty of Engineering.
- Lecturer Ayad Mohsen Subhan – Head of the Camera Unit.
- Engineer Mohammed Qasim – Member of the Camera Unit staff.
This commendation reflects the continuous follow-up and efforts of the Faculty’s specialized personnel to ensure the efficiency and sustained operation of the surveillance system, in accordance with the directives of the University of Maysan Presidency and the applicable regulations.
