The College of Engineering Celebrates the Birth Anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (Peace Be Upon Him)

The Student Activities Unit at the College of Engineering, University of Misan, in collaboration with the Petroleum Engineering Department and in coordination with the University’s Student Activities Department, organized a cultural celebration to commemorate the birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

The event began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the reading of Surat Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and the Popular Mobilization Forces. The Dean of the College, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, delivered a speech highlighting the greatness of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), praising his enduring legacy and his exemplary character, which serves as a model for the entire Islamic nation.

The celebration featured several cultural segments, most notably heartfelt poetic recitations expressing love for Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and shedding light on aspects of his blessed life.

The event was attended by the Administrative, Financial, and Legal Affairs Associate Dean, Professor Saad Fahd Resan, along with several faculty members and staff of the college. The ceremony was held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Dr. Adel Abdullah Shihib Memorial Hall.
